2011 RSNA Derek Harwood-Nash International Fellowship Application

Eligible applicants must have completed formal radiology training and have held a faculty position in an academic institution for no less than 3 and no more than 10 years.  Please submit your application before July 1, 2010. The Fellowship period is 6 to 12 weeks.

Candidates must:

• be promising international radiology scholars who have completed their radiology training no more than 10 years prior to application;

• be embarking on a career in academic radiology (i.e. have held a faculty position for 3 to 10 years);

• demonstrate that their specific educational goals can be met most appropriately by a course of study in a North American institution.

• specify how the knowledge and experience gained from this fellowship will benefit and improve the practice of radiology in both the home institution and the radiological community; and

• be proficient in English

The application form includes a roster of appropriate North American host academic centers where fellows may observe procedures and participate in conferences relating to their areas of special interest. The RSNA will provide a stipend of up to $10,000 toward travel, modest living expenses, and educational materials for the 6- to 12-week fellowship period.

It is requested that, applications forms and supporting documents with signatures be submitted as PDF attachments whenever possible. However, complete application packets will also be accepted by fax or mail as long as they arrive by the deadline date.

Malaysia is short of radiologists and the Government of Malaysia is employing radiologists from overseas to fill up posts in government hospitals. The government usually advertises vacancies in newspapers and conducts interviews in your countries periodically. Successful candidates are employed on a contractual basis.
