Short Tour of the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia
By Dr Evelyn Ho

The Academy of Medicine is tucked away from the busy Jalan Duta and nestled amongst lush greenery in Jalan Folly Barat. The staff of the Administrative office are Ms Kong, Ms Michele Theng, Puan Naimah Mohd, Mr Ramasamy and Mr Teh Chee Meng. Part timers are called upon to help during busy periods!

If you have any queries, you may contact either Ms Kong or Michele: Tel: 603-20930100; Fax: 603-20930900

However, the new Academy of Medicine building is now ready and just waiting to be fitted. The Academy will be moving to its new premises once this has been accomplished. See photos below.

The following are photographs of the current office in Jalan Folly Barat

Academy of Medicine is a treasure of our Malaysian heritage

Inside the building where the administrative office (ground floor) is….

This group represents the Committee for the drawing up the Clinical Practice Guidelines for Breast Cancer. On some evenings, there may be more than 1 meeting going on simultaneously!

If you need help, clarifications on any matter related to the Academy of Medicine, there is several staff you can call upon.

The new premises along Jalan Tun Razak, close to the Jalan Pahang roundabout – the bare bones building.

9 June 2008: The building by night. It was under “testing phase”, hence the building was lighted up and the first Academy of Medicine meeting was held there on foldable plastic tables and chairs to coincide with the building visit.
