Have your say...

This is one site I find highly educational and with good management of information. The simple lay-man can visit and find sound information and awareness. My praises goes to the people who have painstakingly done the house keeping to keep the information regularly updated and yet finding interesting topics to keep people coming back for more.

Only people with the passion can keep this hope and site alive.

Hat's off to the team & the leadership of the editor of the website.

 t-shirt winner

I noticed that your website is getting a bit confusing to use, especially the part about Q & A and Feedback. I think that each part should be strictly segmented as follows:

1. Pose your questions
2. View answers to your questions or view Q & A
3. Feedback regarding website

Personally, I think your website is good. However, it should include more on the cutting-edge of radiology available in Malaysia at present or in the near future and where such facilities will be located.

I hope that the above is of help to you. Thank you.

Editor: Thank you for your comments. We at Radiology Malaysia are always receptive to suggestions as that is one of the ways we can improve the web site.

We have recently expanded the web site so that the focus on Breast Cancer Awareness is heightened. The Breast Health Info Centre is now separate from the main Radiology Malaysia web site. As such, the Talkback Q&A section is currently in a transitional stage. In the coming
months, steps will be taken to improve the usability of this section.

At the same time, the main Radiology Malaysia web site's editorial focus will shift from breast health to the "cutting edge" - Interventional Radiology. However, we realise that it is important to start from the basics first before moving on the the frills or icing on the cake!

Radiology Malaysia's team is small and we are heavily dependant upon voluntary contributions from the experts in the various fields. As such, we can only add content upon receipt of contributions. We are also actively seeking more resources, professional, financial and practical, so that we may improve the services offered at this web site.

Once again, we thank you for your input. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated. We hope that you will return to visit us regularly, so that you may observe the implementation of your suggestions and the evolution
of our services!

Congratulations! You are a Talkback winner!

More Readers' Feedback

The contents are too complicated for the elders to see. It should have simpler interface and less contents per page so that readers will be able to read it with ease. Another thing is the contents should be updated often by moderators/webmaster to ensure the excitement still there each time a user logs on to this webpage.

Editor: Thank you for your feedback. We will definitely look into the interface and will improve where possible.

The contents hold information that are normally tried and tested so that it does not confuse people or give them the yo-yo effect. As new information emerges, some are just early reports of investigations and has not been rigorously proven. Information of such nature if not interpreted and understood will only give false hope or false sense of doom and may change as more tests are done. That will result in some articles appearing rather static.

Breakthroughs are normally taken care off and reported by the media and news sites.

We run this website on a very tight budget as we are not a commercial organisation. We do updates at least once a month. Perhaps, you are referring to the “look and feel” of the web pages. Again, with budget permitting, we will definitely try to improve this aspect as well.

It would be good if the site provides information on where and how much it cost to study radiology in Malaysia, for a diploma and a degree.

Editor: Thank you James for your feedback.

The cost is estimated at about RM2,500.00 per year for 4 years, excluding repeat examination costs for Malaysians. For foreign students studying Radiology in Universiti Sains Malaysia, it will cost approximately RM4000.00 per year for 4 years.  We have now added the estimated costs for the post graduate study of Radiology in Malaysia in the article “What is a Radiologist?”

Congratulations on such a superb site!! This is my 1st but certainly not my last visit. I am a Malaysian in my 4th year of training in Radiology in the UK. I am in the process of trying to find out more about Radiology in Malaysia.

Congratulations to the Malaysian College of Radiology and its attractive and interesting website! I think the Malaysian College is doing a great job, setting an example for other societies in the region. Keep up the good work.

PS, 30th January 2002

I am truly very pleased that a web site such as this has been set up. I am a 2 year mass communication student in USM. I will be conducting a campaign on breast cancer for my final year project.

G, 8th November 2001

I am impressed at how comprehensive this website is - from addressing the myths to providing links to alternative treatments (with the cautious note that those are not supported treatment modalities). I thought "take-home" points will be useful to the public especially. I hope the site will be continuously updated. More local studies and statistics would be interesting and helpful.

Winnie, 30th October 2001

Well done! This is a very good website. It is a very informative site for layman and also for professionals, better than some of the other radiology site.

Dr C, (GP Practice) Pahang, 29th September 2001

Editor: Thank you for your positive comments. We will try our best to update the site regularly and to introduce improvements to content and services provided.

The College has just released a preliminary report on the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign 2001. Those who wish to have some statistics should visit our Breast Health Info Centre to peruse the report.

We are also studying the possibility to make all the content on Radiology Malaysia available for sale on a CD-ROM. As many of us still do not have access to the Internet, or do not have a good telephone line, offline browsing may be more convenient.

Do let us know if you think such a CD-ROM will be useful for you. If we receive sufficient response, we will make the CD-ROM available.

Our reader CYC of the PPCS, wrote about how Radiology Malaysia, in particular the Breast Health Info Centre might aid in the noble deed of caring for the terminally ill. In return, we asked for more information on the PPCS and this is what CYC shared with us. Thanks CYC for your contribution!
