Our patient briefings explain a variety of diagnostic procedures and treatments, how patients should prepare for them, and what patients can expect to experience during and after the procedure. These briefings are provided as a service to help patients address their medical care with less anxiety and greater comfort.

Palliative Care & Support Groups

iagnosis with cancer is just the beginning of a journey that can be made much more bearable with the existence of palliative care groups, support groups and counseling centres. The caregivers of those with cancer also need support, encouragement and should not be forgotten.

MyStory:CeritaKu
Lessons to learn from caregivers, friends, colleagues and those with cancer!

The following are highly inspirational accounts which were submitted for the 2005 Radiology Malaysia-Meditel MyStory:CeritaKu contest. They were written with the intention of sharing information, experiences and lessons to help those dealing with cancer and those who are trying to come to terms with a diagnosis of cancer in their loved ones, colleague or friends!

A Brush With Life – By Teh Siew Lin
Teh Siew Lin has never had problems with words, but expressing herself in watercolour is definitely a novel experience for her. At the height of her professional career as a Chartered Accountant she was diagnosed with cancer. She finds herself on new ground with this book. "A Brush With Life" started off as a collection of Siew Lin's "hobby-paintings” over the past two years. It evolved into this publication, which reflects her own very personal journey

Cancer Guide: A Resource for Patients and Loved Ones
Angela Lanza dedicated her whole nursing career to cancer patients and families. She says, “I have been blessed in knowing many loving and courageous people. Caring for these special people has given me real experiences that no text book could ever teach. I have seen how patients and families struggle through diagnosis, treatment, and successes and failures of having cancer. I don't claim to know everything about cancer, but I would like to share my knowledge, experiences, and feelings with others to help make the journey easier.”
