Non-Profit Centres

Pulau Pinang
Mount Miriam Hospital, Penang

Mount Miriam Hospital is a non profit-making hospital owned by the Sisters of the Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood (FMDM). Mount Miriam receives donations from the public and well wishers as well as hold fund raising events. The Penang Breast Care Society (NGO) helps the hospital by providing drinks to the patients and some funds to needy ones. 

Patients who are unable to pay the full fees are assessed by the hospital’s Medical Social Worker and fees are “reduced” accordingly.

The Cancer Treatment Centre, Tung Shin Hospital
 

The Cancer Treatment Centre in Tung Shin Hospital is a service provided by the National Cancer Society of Malaysia. As the Society is a non profit (charitable) organisation, the fees are reasonable. Treatment charges can be subsidised for those who cannot afford the charges and qualify for the subsidy programme.  

It has two linear accelerators, a simulator, a computer planning system and a high dose brachytherapy system -  all installed to provide accurate and efficient radiation therapy with a high standard of treatment and reliability.   

The Cancer Treatment Centre is situated on the lower ground floor of the Tung Shin Hospital, No 102, Jalan Pudu, 55100 Kuala Lumpur.  Contact Tel No is 03-2072 8150
